Green Analytical Chemistry Special Issue "Molecularly Imprinted Polymers as Smart Biocomponents for Sustainable Optical and Electrochemical Biosensors" Call for papers

Posted on behalf of Dr. Sibel A. Ozkan

Dear Colleagues,

"Molecularly Imprinted Polymers as Smart Biocomponents for Sustainable Optical and Electrochemical Biosensors" to be published in Green Analytical Chemistry (Elsevier), a Q1 Gold Open Access journal with an Impact Factor of  7.6, dedicated to advancing sustainable analytical methodologies and green innovations in analytical science.

The increasing demand for environmentally sustainable analytical methodologies has highlighted the importance of developing recognition materials and sensing platforms that comply with the principles of Green Analytical Chemistry.

In this context, Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) have emerged as highly promising synthetic recognition elements, combining excellent selectivity, stability, and sustainability while overcoming several limitations associated with biological receptors.

This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge contributions on the sustainable design, fabrication, characterization, and application of MIPs in optical and electrochemical biosensors.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  Optical and electrochemical MIP biosensors

Point-of-care, wearable, and portable MIP-based sensing devices

Environmental, food safety, and biomedical applications

Integration of MIPs with emerging analytical technologies

Green-by-design approaches for high-performance analytical systems

We welcome Original Research Articles and Reviews.

Submission deadline: 31 December 2026

We look forward to receiving your valuable contribution.

Best regards,
