IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast 2027 - Grants for members of the Royal Society of Chemistry

The Global Women's Breakfast (GWB) is an annual event coordinated globally by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. Each year, local breakfasts are held all over the world, ranging from small to large attendance, in-person or hybrid or virtual, and formal or informal events. IUPAC is coordinating the GWB 2027 on February 16, 2027 (you can find more information on their event website).

The RSC is offering financial support up to £300 to members who are planning to organise and host a local event either in-person or hybrid as part of the Global Women’s Breakfast. It is up to each breakfast organiser to decide on which format works best for them to engage their local chemistry community.

Note that employment and volunteer regulations mean that this funding cannot be used to compensate for volunteers’ time, which usually includes honoraria.

How to apply:
If you wish to apply for a grant please submit an application form by completing the following survey. The survey will include questions about lead applicant information, event description, event format and costs.  Survey link

Requirements for applicants:
Lead applicants must be members of the RSC.

Applications will close on 06 November 5pm GMT.

This is the UK Chemical Society link: for residents of other countries, please enquire with your corresponding Chemical Society.
