Takeuchi Group

Group location: Japan (Asia)

Group description:
We have conducted MIP-related work since 1991. Our research interests include design and synthesis of molecularly imprinted polymers and their analytical and biomedical applications [Chromatography 2016, 37, 43-64; 10.15583/jpchrom.2016.007 (Open Access)]. Recently we have developed a new technique, post-imprinting modification (PIM) for further functionalization of MIPs [Chem. Commun. 2018, 54, 6243-6251 (Feature article); 10.1039/c8cc02923g][Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2016, 55, 13023-13027; 10.1002/anie.201605992]. A new MIP-based drug delivery carriers have also been developed, which acquire stealth by cloaking themselves with native dysopsonic proteins, resulting in the prolongation of the circulation time in the blood stream without the surface PEGylation [Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2017, 56, 7088-7092; 10.1002/anie.201700647 (Hot paper)].
