Personal statement:I am a researcher working at the intersection of physical chemistry, nanotechnology, electrochemistry and biosensing, with a particular focus on molecularly imprinted polymers and their integration into advanced sensing platforms. My research centers on the design and characterization of selective recognition interfaces, particularly conductive polymer-based MIPs, and on understanding processes occurring at the electrode/polymer/analyte interface. I work with a broad range of targets, from small organic molecules and metabolites to pharmaceuticals, peptides, proteins and disease-related biomarkers. My experimental approach combines electrochemical techniques, including cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, with QCM/E-QCM and complementary surface characterization methods such as AFM, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy and XPS. I am also interested in hybrid MIP architectures incorporating nanoparticles, quantum dots and other functional nanomaterials.
A major direction of my current work is moving beyond proof-of-concept sensing towards more robust analytical systems, with emphasis on selectivity, non-specific interactions, regeneration, stability, real-sample performance and integration into practical sensing technologies.
